The kite school got reccomend by a friend of mine and I absolutely enjoyed it! I had 3 single sessions and it was perfect. The teacher was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. She perfectly matched my learning pace and at the end it was ably to ride my first 100m on a board. Thank you so much again - I can absolutely reccomend it. The organization via WhatsApp was also absolutely great!

Was für ein unvergessliches Erlebnis! Mein erstes Mal Kitesurfen - was für ein Riesenspaß! Mein Lehrer Julian war ein wahrer Meister, geduldig und detailliert in seinen Erklärungen. Man könnte denken, dass man sich beim ersten Mal ein bisschen überfordert fühlt, aber dank Julian war es einfach nur aufregend und inspirierend. Es hat mich wirklich motiviert, weiterzumachen und das Kitesurfen zu meistern. In den folgenden Tagen hat Carla das Ruder übernommen und wir haben gemeinsam tolle Fortschritte gemacht. Ihre Geduld und ihre Fähigkeit, Sicherheit zu vermitteln, waren einfach fantastisch. Ich kann es kaum erwarten, wieder nach Tarifa zu kommen und die Schule erneut zu besuchen. Im Endeffekt sind es die Menschen, die den Unterschied machen. Ein riesiges Dankeschön an alle!

Carla is a legend. Loved the classes with her and her approach to teaching kitesurfing. She is a kind and great teacher and she and her husband know the area well, which is nice as it prevent you from struggling for two hours in the sea just because your teacher brought you to a place with shitty wind.

What a great and enthusiastic team at Kite Fun Tarifa. From the very first moment, everything felt right. The great communication with Rodri gave us confidence, and the way they work with so much love, patience and joy made it special. Carla, you were fantastic! With your energy and personal attention, you completely won Melle's heart. How to start this review… Carla & Tilly are just amazing, and the rest of the KITEFUN TARIFA team as well! We (2 adults + 2 children) spend 5 days with classes and started the kite course from zero. They explained the basics very clear and easy to understand. This way, I learned very quickly what I shall do and what I shouldn’t. Once I took over the bar and could enjoy the interaction kite-body-water, I did many mistakes (obviously :) ). Carla was very supportive and has a huge patience. It is hard to imagine how to teach better, Carla knew what and how to tell each corrective movement. When needed, she repeated very calmly the instructions. Having a teacher so patient and calm is a big advantage for me. In the meantime Tilly gave the course to my children (twins, 7 years). Tilly made this new experience for them very interesting, they enjoyed and learned a lot. Personally, I felt very comfortable when Tilly spend time with my children, the sense of Safety-First was clear from the very first minute. About Q&A, Rodri is very responsive and quickly answering. Do not forget Flapy & Co. Always the dogs adding good vibes :))

Wonderful kite school with excellent instructors, top-notch equipment, and outstanding communication. Appointments are arranged quickly, and despite the high quality, the prices are very fair. I highly recommend this kite school and truly hope to return to Tarifa someday – when I do, I’ll definitely take more lessons here. Thank you for everything!

I had the absolute best experience taking kite lessons with Carla at Kite FUN Tarifa! As a complete beginner, I came in knowing nothing about kiting—and Carla reassured me that was perfect. She’s an amazing instructor: patient, clear, and incredibly supportive. She made me feel comfortable and confident from the very start. Her husband Rodri was just as fantastic, coordinating everything seamlessly—from our first point of contact to the daily check-ins about training times. It was such a treat to meet their whole family, including their adorable one-year-old and sweet pup. Can't recommend Kite Fun enough. Carla is an award winning kitesurfer who masters and coaches on the mental and physical requirements of the sport. Her calm, patient and warm demeanor supported by her deep experience make her an outstanding coach for all levels. She strengthened my confidence greatly by helping me develop technique to kitesurf in waves in a safe, controlled environment (even though waves were crazy a few days!). Kite Fun's equipment was also top notch, supporting a fun yet safe experience in the water. I can't wait to learn to jump with Carla one day and will always be grateful to Kite Fun for helping me cross the Tarifa frontier in my kitesurfing journey 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Two of us took kite lessons from Carla to learn to pop and jump. We were given good and clear instructions and therefore progressed quickly. Carla took us to the best spots to make progress. Communication with Rodri was always quick and clear. Even on the days after the lessons, Carla en Rodri let us know which kite spot was best in relation to the wind. They also gave us tips about riding in the waves and how to fix our equipment. Carla and Rodri are very nice, relaxed and flexible.

I booked the 2 person semi-private course together with a friend. The communication of Rodri prior to arrival was really friendly and he gave us a good and relaxed vibe. The course was really fun, taking small steps at a time, allowing us to learn each skill in a very tailored way. Carla has been an amazing instructor by providing clear guidance and giving useful tips and tricks, but most of all taking a relaxed approach so we learn the skills and having fun out on the water. A massive thanks to Rodri & Carla for giving us the introduction to Kite boarding in Tarifa, a truly memorable experience!

When going to Tarifa, this is kiteschool you want to pick! Carla did an amazing job teaching us kitesurfing. Everyday an update on when the lessons would start. All depending on the windconditions. The lessons where based in our individual level, and progressed throughout our week. When going back to Tarifa I would definetely go with them again, in order to learn ever harder skills. Thanks again for the amazing and learnfull week.

We had an amazing week of semi-private lessons at Kite Fun Tarifa and can’t speak highly enough about our experience. Thanks to the excellent guidance, we made tremendous progress. A special shout-out to our instructor Joeri, who was by far the best instructor we’ve ever had. His enthusiasm and expertise were evident and made the lessons incredibly valuable. What stood out to us was that the focus wasn’t just on learning to kite, but also on safety and technique, which is something that should never be underestimated given the extreme nature of the sport. Joeri proved to be not only a patient and knowledgeable teacher but also someone who truly cared about our progress. A great example of this was when he anticipated situations we would face in the future, when we’d be kiting on our own as a couple. He taught us specific skills we’d need and made sure we were confident and technically ready to get on the water. What we appreciated the most was his constant enthusiasm and his emphasis on the correct techniques. Thanks to Joeri, we feel fully prepared, and we have no doubt that we couldn’t have learned it better anywhere else. All in all, a fantastic experience, both in terms of learning and the atmosphere, and we highly recommend Kite Fun Tarifa to anyone looking to take their kitesurfing skills to the next level!

We both had a really great time taking a kite surf class with Carla and Tilly. For me Carla was one of the best instructors I’ve ever had, super patient, supportive and encouraging with clear communication. They were also able to fit in my gf for a last minute introduction class, so she could have that experience. Here is how it was : “Now I have high expectations of how a kite surf class looks like. ” Tilly was nice, friendly and very clear with the instructions, I feel confident to try again after my first experience. She was generous with her energy and words. I would definitely take more lessons with her!!!

Fantastic experience taking my first ever kite surf lesson with Jaime. The team was very communicative regarding the conditions and best time and place to meet, as they are flexible and will teach at the best beaches for the day’s conditions and want to optimize the experience for their students. Jaime was so nice and not rigid in the lesson, just meaning that he made sure I mastered the concept we were working on, and then we moved on to the next step, so they really work with whatever level you are at. I had taken a few lessons in other countries before, but the instructors here are on a different level. Kite Fun Tarifa is simply the best! All of their instructors are very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. In just a few lessons, they helped coach me from inconsistent water starts to being able to ride upwind in challenging conditions. I left Tarifa with so much more confidence in my skills and can’t wait to keep progressing with this amazing sport. With many years of experience and endless knowledge of the sport and kiting industry, they will be able to help you progress no matter what level you are at. They also went above and beyond to help make sure that we enjoyed our trip to the fullest by offering recommendations and advice on where the best kite spots would be even when we were not taking lessons with them. Absolutely amazing! The team is great and super attentive. Would recommend! I was starting to get up on my board when I started my week and by the end of the week I was riding with some transitions in there. I had classes with Tilly - absolute gem and Julian - also very attentive.

People working there are willing to go above and beyond for you to have a great experience. They are extremely kind and honest, they had us check that waves were good before committing to renting to make sure that we could have fun. Prices were fair and better than other places in the city. If you are looking to surf in Tarifa, this is the place to go!

We chose Kite Fun Tarifa based on the positive reviews here on Google and the clear and pleasant communication beforehand with Rodri. Our children (14 and 10 years old) had 5 fantastic one-on-one lessons with Patrick and Tilly. Rodri never took risks, and if a day wasn't perfect, the lesson didn't proceed. Communication was always clear via Whatsapp. My husband also received daily suggestions on where to best practice Wing foiling; receiving these local tips was very helpful. Standing on the sidelines for 2 hours daily, I noticed a significant difference in teaching methods between the surf schools. I was very pleased with our choice. Our children have learned a very good foundation. They already want to return as soon as possible. An absolute recommendation!

I took classes with Rodri and I went from absolutely zero to hero: he taught me to control my kite surfing gear in whatever situation wind and water may bring me, so I am very well prepared for all the wonderful places where this sport is possible. I started a kitesurf course as a Level 0, so totally beginner, and felt totally happy and well trained from the very first second. I had a class with Rodri and he did a very great job, was always flexible for new appointments and we had an easy contact via whatsapp. I can highly recommend it and say thanks to the team!

Tout ça dans la bonne humeur et la gentillesse ! Pour ma part une leçon privé de kitefoil de 2h. Du matériel adapté, un spot judicieusement sélectionné, des conseils en live via radio pour améliorer une position où du pilotage et c'est tout bon! Une excellente séance ou j'ai l'impression d'avoir emmagasiner plus d'expérience en 2h qu'en 10h de navigation solo! Bref, je ne peux que recommander Kite fun Tarifa, allez y les yeux fermés pour progresser ou pour débuter!

Hice un curso de perfeccionamiento con ellos porque no había navegado en Tarifa antes. Fueron puntuales, profesionales y aprendí mucho y de forma segura. Totalmente recomendable.

We had a lesson in Jan with Rodri. No wind but Rodri managed to give us a super fun lesson on the beach with kite handling. Super professional, safety first approach and he was a really great guy to get along with. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a lesson in Tarifa!

Door de lessen via kitefunn heb ik de basics geleerd om zelfstandig het water op te kunnen gaan. Voor de les kijken ze naar de condities en als deze niet goed zijn wordt de les verplaatst. De instructeurs brachten hun enthousiasme en kennis over kitesurfen op een fijne manier over.

Couldn’t wish for more! As a beginner in Tarifa (the spot is quite challenging even for experienced kitesurfers) a supporting and empathetic teacher is key. But Carla was more than that. She was really good in observing and identifying where I need to improve. Her way of giving feedback was honest but always really respectful. I always felt comfortable, even when I had to release the security system for the first time and was being picked up by the security boats. Apart from that, I am sure that also experienced kitesurfers can learn a lot from her! On top communication with the school was always easy and quite flexible. Super organized! Not only regarding timing but also regarding where the wind blows best (choice of location). I contacted Rodri in advance to book a starter course and he was always kind and really helpful also regarding things apart from kitesurfing. Equipment is from Ocean Rodeo - in case that matters to anyone - and was in really good condition! Thanks to the whole team and see you soon!

Then, my amazing coach Patrick! 💙 He is so pationate to teach you all the details about kitesurfing, so that you can really understand how it all works. Overall, great school, their goal is really to make a kiter out of you, not only caring about the business itself. The best school with great coaches! Bibi talk and also the best gear (Ocean Rodeo). We had a blast with Rordy and Patrick we learned a lot and also easy going and communication very smooth. Carla is the best instructor for kite surfing of the whole world, a real world champion! I am 57 years old and was a complete beginner but after almost 2 weeks of daily private lessons of 2 hours, I was able to kitesurf back and forth, a fabulous feeling! Although we had some days with a lot of wind and big waves which was scary when I entered the sea with my gear, she gave me each time confidence by continously giving me positive feedback via the radio in my helmet. "Carla, you talk to me?" "Of course Guido, always!" Finally, her partner Rodri responded very quickly via WhatsApp with information about the location, time and weather conditions. Together with our third instructor Patrick, they were a great team for me and my two sons, thank you very much! P.s. my sons could go back and forth already after less than a week of lessons. They learned it very quickly.

I got lessons from Patrick. His teaching methods were fun and I were able to pick it up quick! The vibe the group of teachers give is the real kite vibe you would aspect. The contact with the owner Rodri was very good! Very fast responses and he would check when it would be best to go kiting. All and all it was a great time and would really recommend choosing this kite school!

2 weken in Tarifa geweest, kan nu zelfstandig probleemloos heen en weer komen door de goede les! Fijn om 1 op 1 les te hebben, goed materiaal en ruimte om langer door te gaan wanneer we dat wilde. Super blij mee! Echt een aanrader!

He dado clases en 4 escuelas y sin duda esta es la mejor. Con la ayuda de Carla, Rodri y los demás instructores de la escuela he aprendido muchísimo gracias a su amplia experiencia y calidad humana. Lo recomiendo a todo aquel que quiera tanto aprender desde cero como mejorar su nivel.

Kite Fun Tarifa exceeded my expectations in every way! My instructor, Carla, was really friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about kiteboarding. I'm sure that with her patience everyone can learn to kite. Safety is a top priority, and the equipment is top-notch. They have a kite-set and location for every kind of wind and try their best to avoid the crowded places. After the course the owner Rodri even helped me with looking for my own kite sit. Ya he tenido varias clases en diferentes escuelas, pero Rodri me ha dejado navegar en menos de una hora. Ya manejaba todo hasta el waterstart, pero navegando solo unos metros. Rodri me dejaba salir para ver como navegaba. Ha visto directamente mis errores y me ha corregido esas errores explicandome todo en la.playa. al salir otra vez, inmediamente podría navegar hacía izquierda y derecha en unos condiciones difíciles (muchas rachas). ¡¡Impresionante!! Además Matilda ha dado 3 días unas clases estupendas a la pequeña de 10 años. Hasta subir la tabla un momento al tercer día en las circunstancias difíciles de esa día y todo bajo control sin ningún riesgo. I went for the first time on kite boarding-holiday with friends. This kiteschool was perfect for us. Its relaxed, professional and personal. During the week we had WhatsApp contact: with their experience we choose the perfect time and location for the best wind. And if we had any questions, we just send an app. The teachers are relaxed, speaking English very well, and really know how to kite! As last, the school has a lot of different sizes of kites. for every wind type the perfect kite to learn the best! I recommend to everyone who is going to tarifa to learn kiting on relaxed way!

Simply the best! Kite Fun Tarifa exceeded our expectations in every way and I highly recommend them, especially to anyone wanting lessons for kids. Carla and Tilly are both amazing instructors and were loved by our shy 10 year old son and very lively 9 year old daughter. Not only did they have them happily handling the kite and up on the board in just days, they instilled a love of kiting in them both and made sure that they had enormous amounts of fun along the way. They taught them safely in conditions ranging from light, to very gusty winds, and let us know when the conditions were not right for a lesson. At times when the wind dropped they played with the kids in the water, building such a great rapport. Rodri made the process of booking and daily communication about lessons easy and fun. He and Carla also kept an eye on my husband and I in the water, giving tips and assistance which were much appreciated! Watching these guys kiting after the lessons was inspirational, they are true professionals in every way. Thank you Kite Fun Tarifa for making our time in Tarifa fantastic. We’ll definitely be back for lessons for our youngest son soon!

Kite Fun Tarifa is THE best place in Tarifa to get your kite surf lessons. Carla and Rodri are well organized and take you to the best spots at the best time of the day. Super happy with the lessons we had from Carla! I already knew the basics of kitesurfing but didn't really feel confident yet. Carla managed to make me feel relaxed despite the very though circumstances (hard wind, big waves). I was very surprised by the amount of progression I made in only two days! I spent a week in Tarifa with the Kite Fun Tarifa team… learning to kite surf. I couldn’t have been happier with the experience, firstly Rodri and Carla are a dream team, so welcoming and fun. Before I even arrived Rodri’s communication via WhatsApp was perfect and really helpful. Each day in Tarifa he would give me an update on the wind conditions and about where to meet (which was super helpful). But the star of the week was Jaime my incredible instructor. Never have I met a more patient and upbeat instructor, so encouraging and ready to explain everything. I also think he really caters to your ability whilst also pushing you to get better. I can’t fault the experience at all and I can’t wait to be back with the team to kite again. I highly recommend them!

We had lessons from Super Carla! A friendly and professional instructor (and her adoreable dog). She calmly explained everything very well and again if needed. ;-) We were very satisfied with the contact we had with the team and the good quality of the equipment we used. When looking for kitesurfing lessons in Tarifa, we stumbled upon Kite Fun Tarifa. Rhodri was always super fast in his communication and easy to approach. In addition, the price was very good for a full week of lessons. When we arrived, the real fun started. Immediately we got in touch and organised the first day of lessons. Carla was our instructor and she was amazing. I mean first of all, she’s a world champion but super good in going through all the steps to become a good kitesurfer. She communicates super well, likes to crack a joke and in the meantime you learn very fast how to kitesurf. All in all, it was an amazing week and I couldn’t imagine a better way to learn kitesurfing than with Carla and Rodri!

Great experience as always with Rodri and Carla who are so nice! They were able to adapt their schedule to find the time to teach me. Super patient with me, felt safe all the time and learnt super quickly thanks to the great and structured lessons. Would definitely come back and can’t recommend enough ! Great equipment also.

As a complete kitesurf beginner, I spent a week with Rodri and Carla and I think that I could not have been happier. You can feel that they have been teaching for a long time (over 10 years). They have a well built program to make you progress on the different skills required to be a kite surfer. I enjoyed their professionalism, always ensuring my safety, explaining what to do clearly and calmly. I loved that they had a talkywalkie to guide me when in the water. Regarding the equipment, we used Carla’s former pro equipment (she is a kitesurf world champ and Rodri is a judge during competitions, so that should should tell you about their skills), so everything was spotless. During each session, we had different kite sizes ready in order to adapt quickly to the wind conditions. The wetsuits were nice and warm, and washed after each use. To sum up, I would highly recommend them, both for beginner and advanced levels. The operation is smoothly run, prices are competitive, and it has been a great pleasure to spend the week with both Carla and Rodri Hoping to come back in September / October

At Kite Fun School Tarifa I met not just great teachers, but also very kind people. I started from 0, yet with the help of my mentor (Carla) , I managed in just 2 days to get on that board enjoy the true feeling of what kite surfing has to offer. I just couldn't have asked for a better teacher and thanks to her I had a unique experience. Couldn't imagine a better school. My 11 years old daughter was delighted, all day smiling during and after the lessons. Private lessons for kids with all the attention from the teacher. No need to share with other kids. Super good stuff, changing the kites and line lengths to adjust it to the wind when it drops or peaks. Zero risks. Carla is amazing, won't rest until the child gets it. She even asks for more time, her patience is incredible! Not all days you can receive lessons from the Strapless World Champion. And what can I say about Rodri? Will help you with the bookings and look for the best conditions. His knowledge about the forecast will make you succeed for sure! Share a ride with him and have a look at his old-style air tricks ;-)

I'm an intermediate kiter and met Rodri on the beach in Tarifa. After having some nice conversations i booked a private session to focus on jumping higher. Best decision ever! He had some great tips and now i jump twice as high. Great school for beginners and more advanced!

When in Tarifa, would 100% recommend kite lessons at this school. Rodri is a worldclass teacher, I loved his style of teaching: skilled, very motivative but calm and a balanced energy. Also providing tips and tricks that really stick. Due to this I have progressed big time in only a 2-hours training. Hope to return to him for further training at a later stadium.

Speaking out of my own experience, being a rather petite girl with a fear of water I've tried 4-5 different schools in other main world kite spots and still could hardly ride. After spending 4 days with Carla I can finally fearlessly ride left and right and my hate relationship towards kitesurfing finally turned to the LOVE one! Carla and Rodri - I can't thank you enough! You are definitely THE REASON to come back to Tarifa!

Carla y Rodri son absolutamente encantadores y super profesionales. Estuvimos tres hombres aprendiendo, dos empezando de cero, y progresamos super rapido. Nos encanto y gozamos a lo grande, y la mayor razon es por los pedazos de profesores y personas que son los dos. Se lo recomendare a cualquiera que quiera hacer kite en Tarifa. Un 7/5. Carla and Rodri were not only exceptional people to have as kite instructors, they were also incredible kite surfers and absolute professionals when it came to learning the sport. Three of us went, two starting from zero, and we progressed incredibly, surprising even ourselves, and how quickly they imbedded the techniques and safety measures that are in place. They were positive, motivational and seemed genuinely happy when one of us got up or took the next step in the progression. We absolutely loved it, and a major part of that was both of them being friendly, professional and incredible kite surfers. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to do kite surf in Tarifa!

Would absolutely recommend this kiteschool. Rodri & Carla are the best teachers I ever had :) They make you feel very comfortable and secure on the board. I received exactly the right tips in the water to make a huge progress in a couple of lessons. Walky talky lessons are a big plus! I managed to ride upwind both sides and now able to ride by myself. Really had an awesome and amazing time with those guys!!

Highly recommended to learn kitesurfing and improve your skills!! Friendly people, easy communication, adapted to your level going step by step, excellent value for money 🤙

Fuimos un grupo de 7 amigos para probar 4 días en kitesurf y aprendimos mucho para no haberlo hecho nunca. Rodrigo y Carla fueron muy cercanos y amables con nosotros, las clases se pasaban volando. Solo aconsejo que quien se atreva por primera vez se eche mucha crema en el tobillo y en el empeine, te vas a quemar como nos paso a nosotros. 🤘

Muy buenos profesionales, se involucran mucho y nos hemos sentido muy seguros haciendo la actividad. Hemos estado superagusto con Rodri y Carla. Hicimos el curso introductorio y hemos avanzado muchísimo. Han hecho que el aprendizaje sea muy divertido así que nos vamos con ganas de repetir 😄.

Kit Fun Tarifa is the place to be for your kite lessons! I had lessons from Rodri and Carla. Both very skilled kiters (Carla rides the pro world tour) and great teachers. Classes are very well organized and very safe. They know which parts of the beach are not busy and speak perfect English. Within a few days you will be standing on your board. I would recommend them for sure and when I am back, I will definitely go for a couple of extra lessons to work with them on my technic.

amazing experience with these guys...felt super safe at all times and was given loads of one to one attention...progressed really well in just a few hours. good value for money ...but foremost had a really fun time.
